چکیده

1-Tetralone, a useful synthetic intermediate in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and dyes, can be prepared by liquid phase catalytic oxidation tetralin. Selective tetralin to 1-tetralone is still big challenge with low-temperature processes using environmentally friendly routes even after decades research. Herein, we demonstrate room-temperature over layered double hydroxide-hosted sulphonato-salen-nickel(II) complex, LDH-[Ni-salen]. The compound was characterized powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), UV-Visible diffuse reflectance spectra, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) elemental analysis. theoretical calculations free complex Density Functional Theory/CAM-B3LYP at 6-311++ G(d,p) level theory were also used determine orientation Ni-salen within structure. immobilized compound, LDH-[Ni-salen] found an effective reusable catalyst for combination trimethylacetaldehyde molecular oxygen (14.5 psi) 25°C. At 45.5% conversion, converted 77.2% selectivity room temperature atmospheric pressure 24 h. recycles test hot filtration experiment showed that proceeded through Ni(II) sites catalysts reused several times without losing their activity selectivity. present results may provide convenient strategy preparation hydroxide-based heterogeneous ambient industrial application near future.
